Humulus lupulus L. Strobilus In Situ Photosynthesis and Respiration Temperature Responses

چکیده
The primary metabolism and respiration of the hop strobilus has not been quantified in response to daily temperature fluctuations. objective this study was assess gas exchange, specifically Hop were measured under controlled environment conditions organ’s contribution carbon assimilation during maturation phase. Strobilus-specific budgets estimated fluctuation. optimal for net gain occurred at 15.7 °C. Estimated uptake decreased approximately 41% per 5 °C increase above 20 Daily temperatures within 10–27 resulted a positive balance, whereas increases beyond 27 increasingly exhaust reserves. Q10 coefficient (the rate every 10 rise temperature) doubled from 7–40 (1.94–2) with slightly reduced values lower temperatures. In conclusion, we show that photosynthetically active bracts maintain balance moderate as mean progressively exceed °C, reserves are precipitously exhausted due ever-increasing rates.

Inhibitors of nitric oxide production from hops (Humulus lupulus L.).
Nitric oxide (NO) plays an important role in many inflammatory responses and is also involved in carcinogenesis. In the present study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of extracts from Humulus lupulus L. on both the production of NO and the expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS) in mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 cells. The production of NO was induced by a combination of lipopolysaccharide...

J. Am. Soc. Brew. Chem. 68(3):125-131, 2010 Genetic information for male and female hop accessions is limited, hampering parental selection to maximize offspring productivity. Our objective was to determine whether amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP)derived genetic distance (GDmm) estimates and coancestry estimates from pedigrees (GSped) between parental pairs could be used to predict...
متن کاملResponses of Plasma Acetate Metabolism to Hop (Humulus lupulus L.) in Sheep
An isotope dilution method using [1-(13)C]sodium (Na) acetate was conducted to determine the effect of feeding hop (Humulus lupulus L.) residues on plasma acetate metabolism in six adult crossbred sheep. The sheep were fed 63 g/kg BW(0.75)/d of either mixed hay (MH-diet) of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) and reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea L.) at a 60:40 ratio or MH-diet and hop-re...
متن کاملArtificially induced polyploidization in Humulus lupulus L. and its effect on morphological and chemical traits
Chemically induced polyploids were obtained by the colchicine treatment of shoot tips of Humulus lupulus L. 'Sybilla'. Flow cytometry revealed that most of the treatments resulted in the production of tetraploids. The highest number of tetraploids was obtained when explants were immersed in 0.05% colchicine for 48 h. A field experiment was conducted to compare diploid and tetraploid plants and ...
